Training at the Rotter Glas studio
Rotter Glas stands for the perfect combination of traditional glass craftsmanship and timeless design. The high quality is ensured by intensive training of our future glass engravers in cutting and engraving over many years at Rotter Glas. It takes three years of training and around seven years of professional experience to obtain the necessary craftsmanship to realise the distinctive designs. All this would not be possible without them - our trainees are the basis for the continuation of the craftsmanship

“I am delighted when my trainees grasp and implement something new and their faces light up with joy.

„Fish bodies are engraved with a wedge-action cutting wheel. This grinding wheel needs to be sharpened with a diamond rod on a regular basis. That's something I first had to learn and get a feel for!”

„This job offers so much artistic diversity, that it’ll never be boring. The constant changes between fine engraving and heavier cuts are what I enjoy most.”
